Thomson Productions is a media consultancy offering a wide range of services to companies particularly within the automotive and related industries.

It is a small consultancy capable of rapidly responding to the needs of clients big and small in a cost effective and efficient way.

Our expertise in media liaison across print, radio and television as well as the emerging digital communications realm has been developed over almost two decades of work in all areas of the media.

Experience has been gained on both sides of the media fence working with major media outlets including newspapers and magazines as well as radio and TV stations. Along with this we jave experience over many years in PR working with a wide range of corporations including Toyota, BHP, Komatsu, BF Goodrich, Yokohama, Nissan, BMW and Windscreens O'Brien to name but a few.

The People Behind Thomson Productions

The principal of the company, Jon Thomson has more than 20 years experience as a journalist in print, radio and television, as well as in publicity and public affairs.

He has worked as a journalist at every Australian Formula One Grand Prix since 1985 and every Bathurst 1000 since 1980.

Thomson has been awarded the presitgious CAMS Media Award for the best motorsport Newspaper Story of the Year as well as Dunlop Media awards for best radio and best television stories on motoring and motorsport.

He has worked with major media outlets including Network Ten on Sports Tonight and major motorsport telecasts, SBS TVs World Sports, Radio 2UE, The Canberra Times, Sports Monthly and Motorsport News to name a few.

He is backed up by Lisa Thomson a graphic designer and PR co-ordinator.

With almost ten years experience in public relations Jon Thomson has worked on significant accounts including, Toyota, Yokohama, BHP and the Bathurst 1000.

The current client list includes Proton Cars Australia, Hino Trucks, YokohamaTyres, The Australian Grand Prix Corporation, Speedweek and SBS TV.

While it is a small agency Thomson Productions has the experience and capability to ensure media events, product launches and publicity campaigns are a success.
